The Freechild Institute for Youth Engagement is proud to share our newest program, the Parent Youth Engagement Seminars, or PYES. PYES provide fun, interactive seminars to parents and youth who work together and make successful families, supportive homes and healthier communities.
What Is PYES?
Focused on the positive, powerful potential of youth-parent partnerships at home, PYES is a new program of the Freechild Institute. Together, youth and parents come to PYES to explore youth engagement, family empowerment and home-based change. They explore the skills, knowledge and actions needed to change their lives and the homes they share, too. Focused on practical learning through meaningful and fun activities, participants examine deep issues, create powerful solutions and learn in new ways as partners.
How Does It Happen?
Partnering with nonprofits, schools, government agencies and others, the Freechild Institute facilitates hands-on, interactive train-the-trainer events, and then certifies organizations to use our materials. Partners receive complete seminar manuals with workshop plans, a facilitation guide, evaluation materials and participant handouts. There are also additional materials available, include promotional items and seminar banners.
